Plots for everyone
Shared beds, a tool shed with a sign-out sheet, and work mornings every second Sunday. Everyone gets a row.
Otto on the bench
Otto sits on the bench as the unofficial mayor of the square, and knows everybody by name.
The fountain
A fountain sits in the middle of the square, splashing happily at anyone who walks past.
The pennant bunting
Little pennants hang over the path, ready for the next festival and not at all minding the wait.
The potted plant
A leafy pot stands by the door of the left-hand house, as if it has been invited to every party.
The clock
A small clock sits above the right-hand house, keeping the whole square on time, more or less.
